What was your Childhood Dream? Did you have the opportunity and support you needed to make your dream happen? I know I didn’t, maybe this is why I’m fighting for my son’s dream.

Jobama my 12-year-old son’s dream is to be a principal dancer at with ‘Royal Ballet’ in London. Surprisingly Jobama took up ballet dancing when he was 9 years old and he is a natural, (LOL). He has progressed in his ballet dancing, working very hard, winning many awards including the top junior male dancers award for WA and he has performed many times at His Majesty’s Theatre in Perth with the WA Ballet.

The next stage of Jobama’s journey in his dance career means moving from Perth to Brisbane to accept the place he has been offered at the prestigious Queensland Ballet Academy. To qualify is difficult and only the best are chosen. The famous Lee Cunxin (Mao’s last dancer) will be the director of the Queensland Ballet for the next three years – THE BEST IN THE WORLD – Very exciting!!!

This year Jobama has seriously looked at giving up dancing as to continue the dancing journey means money. And he doesn’t want to impose on his family. With no father figure in his life (as he lives in England) I’m a single mum with 2 kids, I have always worked but unfortunately cannot afford the move and so I want to keep fighting for Jobama’s dream.

Whilst I would never ask for myself, I will fight for my sons future. Would you be able to donate and help our move to Queensland to give Jobama a huge chance at the Queensland Ballet Academy ? My goal is to raise $5000.
