On Dec. 21st my cousin's wife was involved in a horrific, near fatal car accident. She was traveling on the freeway when another car who was driving erratically ran her off the road. Her car hit the guard rail and rolled several times until landing in a ditch. All the car's airbags deployed and debris flew everywhere. Amazed that she was still alive, her only escape was to kick open the jammed door of her car. Covered in blood with extreme neck and back pain, she managed to crawl back up to the freeway. Laying on the side of the road, she tried to flag someone down with her blood stained shirt to no avail. Luckily she was able to locate her phone and call my cousin who raced out to get her. After transporting her to the emergency room they found out how severe her injuries were. She was bleeding from her brain, suffered a fracture in her neck, and completely shattered a disc in her back. The handmade tourniquet made from a beanie and torn clothing is what saved her life, as she lost a life-threatening amount of blood. Madison is a hard working person and a devoted spouse. She is the most generous and caring human being who would give her last dollar to anyone in need. We are asking for any help you can provide. She has a long road to recovery ahead of her. She faces months of rehabilitation and won’t be able to work, all because a careless and senseless person ran her off the road, leaving her to die. Miraculously she did not, but with her car insurance not paying a dime and medical bills piling up, she will need a copious amount of assistance. Anything you can provide will help her return to the hard working and caring person that she is.
