Please help Lupita Parra beat Cancer!!

Our beloved Lupita Parra means the world to our family. We have always been proud to have seen all of the loving ways she has used her life to bring people closer to God. Lupita has made a huge impact on countless lives over the years in many compassionate acts of service toward her friends and family, and through her tireless efforts within the various parishes where she worked. Many young people who needed spiritual guidance or a caring, listening ear in the most difficult times in their lives, found comfort with her. Lupita’s willingness to put others first and charismatically demonstrate her Faith and devotion to God has been inspiring.

In April 2024 after a series of tests, Lupita was diagnosed with breast cancer and has been (with her beautiful smile) actively fighting this difficult battle ever since. During the summer months, she bravely underwent chemotherapy, a lumpectomy and had an axillary lymph node dissection (ALND). Lupita is now at the end of daily radiation treatments she has had to endure for six weeks, but is still undergoing infusion therapy for a year. She also has to take a chemo-based pill for the next five years. Since undergoing these extremely draining treatments, the pain from the side effects has been almost unbearable; but Lupita has still been going to work. Sadly, her paid time off and vacation days have all been used, and she faces paying not only her current living expenses, but the daunting task of paying her insurance copays and mounting cancer treatment bills.

As we can imagine, taking on cancer head on is a difficult task physically, emotionally and financially; but Lupita’s Faith in God and her resilience is strong. We pray for her healing every day. Lupita needs to know she is not in this fight alone. Our family is humbly reaching out with a hopeful heart to ask for your help to ensure she can continue her treatments and much needed rest during her recovery without the added stress of this financial burden.
