Please Help Luna-Bean Get Dental Surgery

This is Luna-(bean) my little Velcro cat.

She wasn’t always Velcro, but after years of working through her issues from her previous unfortunate home- she is her absolute best self and is the sweetest, most loving cat you’d ever meet. She is my “emotional support cat” - she comes running when she feels my moods fluctuate sometimes even before I realize, she comes if I’m sad or even when I’m having an illness flare up or my heart rate is out of whack, and she just.. supports and loves on me. She follows me from room to room if I am away from her too long. She snuggles me for hours on the couch when I’m painting or watching a movie. She sits in the kitchen with me while I’m cooking or doing dishes. She even sits by the bathroom door while I’m showering. She is the sweetest angel.

This angel is unfortunately in a lot of pain because she has teeth in the back of her mouth that need to be extracted. She has been on pain meds twice a day, for a while. But thankfully she has never stopped being her lovely, active self.

The vet has quoted approximately $2890 but the surgery can potentially be anywhere up to $5000 depending on what things end up looking like when they take her xrays.

Her dental surgery is coming up on January 30th, Bloodwork is on January 14th however the care fund will help pay for the $290 bloodwork.

Unfortunately as someone who is chronically ill, in chronic pain and is still forever waiting on knee surgery I can’t work. I have no financial stability or capability to get funds together for this. I’m sad, ashamed and feel guilty but we need your help.

The veterinarian is SOOO kind and she’s using her allotted yearly $1500 from their “care fund” that helps people’s pets when their owners are struggling, toward Lunas Surgery. I’m so grateful. They are also applying to the Farley Foundation which is a charity that helps in these types of cases (but only vets are allowed to apply for the funds) and we will be hearing back in the next week to see if it’s accepted and if they are able to help. We are expecting that if they DO help they will be able to help with about $500 of the cost.

Which brings what we need down to approx $890. As long as things aren’t worse than expected when they go in.

It’s a lot. I know.

I will be attaching the Vet Offices phone number so that people can call in and give a donation over the phone with CC if desired. You just have to say that you want to add x amount to Emilie Kelly & LunaBeans surgery account and they can take payment over the phone.

I am also attaching a Gofundme page, my PayPal and an email address for EMT if calling in doesn’t work for you.

I have a few paintings/ art pieces that I am willing to part with if someone would like to buy one for the money to be put toward the bill.

If we reach our goal, we will be forever grateful.

If we surpass our goal, anything extra will either be returned or put towards Lunas Spay Surgery. (Your choice, please let me know whether or not you’d like some returned or put towards it, if you donate) ; (she had an appointment to get spayed in 2020 when I took her in, but the pandemic closed the low cost clinic down and since it’s been reopened it has been impossible to get in. So Im going to have to pay the full amount somewhere else)
