Please help Luiza & her sons.

My wife and sister-in-law asked me for some help with this fundraiser. Please read their story below, and please consider helping out a wonderful person in need.

 

 

 

Hi there, this is Lauryn and Megan,

 

Twenty-nine years ago, our family hosted a 10-year-old girl named Luiza from Kyiv, Ukraine – she lived with us, attended school here and became a part of our family. We’ve maintained contact with her throughout our lives.

 

Ten days ago, Luiza, like many Ukrainians, was forced to flee her home in Kyiv. She packed up her three young children & made the impossible decision to leave her beloved family in Kyiv to protect her boys. Luiza and her sons, Serhii (11), Alex (8), and Serafim (4), have been driving day and night to find safety in the EU. They left home with nothing but the clothes on their backs and enough money for gas and some food along the way.

 

Luiza is facing a combination of starting over, protecting her children, and trying to find a way to help her family, still stuck in Ukraine. We’re working hard to get educational visas for her older boys to come to stay in the United States with us until she can get back on her feet, but we don’t know if or when they’ll be approved.

 

While we are waiting for any sign of the visas approval, all the funds raised through this campaign will go directly to Luiza to help her and the boys with food, clothing, shelter, and other expenses while she tries to find safety and rebuild.
