PLEASE HELP US WITH MEDICAL AND OTHER EXPENSES FOR LUIS CALVO JR.
Luis is a person that is very dedicated to his Family, The Lord and his Community…and has been a part of the Knights of Columbus with St. Margaret Mary’s Church for several years. Luis has also worked with people from Nonprofit organizations such as The Chino Neighborhood House, Isaiah Rock, Food 4 Life and Caring for the Hills. Luis also would pick up food weekly from Trader Joe’s, to be able to feed his community. In 2016 Luis was voted City of Chino’s Hero of the Year. Luis is proud of his involvement in helping to organizing the “Annual Turkey” give away to families in Chino & Chino Hills and he is most proud of the “Annual Christmas Party” were he helped to organize, for children in Chino & Chino Hills where there were approximately 450 children, through the Chino Neighborhood House.
As of this past January all of this has stopped for Luis, his health had to come first. In February he passed out and coded all the way to the hospital and this required a pacemaker. And on November 17th Luis suffered an Acute Heart Attack which when he arrived at the hospital was unresponsive. Luis spent 14 days in the hospital, 8 of those days in ICU, which he was sedated and put on a ventilator, trying to keep him alive. Due to a lot of prayers and support from family and friends, he is now home with a long road of recovery ahead of him. Luis’s heart is only functioning at 10%, and has to wear a Life Vest constantly in the event he has another heart attack and is still at risk of kidney failure.
With everything that has happened this year, the medical, co-payments, and other expenses have been very overwhelming and his medication to keep him alive are very expensive. To anyone that can help by donating anything you can would help us tremendously and we both would greatly appreciate it very much.
