Help Lucy Have A Burial. NHS Failed Her
Donation protected
My wife Lucy died in what were sudden, totally unexpected, traumatic, and unnatural circumstances on 2nd December 2023, subsequent to a hospital discharge.
UPDATE - 09/01/24:
I have just heard back from the pathologist, Dr Lockyer, and he has responded with the following:
"I’m afraid Lucy's body really is in a poor condition and I very much doubt that the post-mortem is going to be of much use given how decomposed she is externally, her internal organs will also be in a very poor condition.
Microscopic examination (which is the histology testing) will be very poor too as the body cells inevitably break down after death and this process is hastened by a post mortem examination.
I think Mike is going to spend a lot of money and there is very little guarantee that the post-mortem is going to assist especially by the advancing decomposition. This is further supported by how much she has deteriorated since Xmas eve.
I’m sorry we can’t assist as her body deterioration is just too advanced for a meaningful examination".
I would like to sincerely thank each of you who donated to this.
If you contact me on this link I can refund your donations. https://www.facebook.com/carerswantcompetence - (For those that don't wish to be refunded, I will keep the fundraiser and edit it for a burial funeral for Lucy, as she didn't relish the idea of being cremated).
Sincerest kind regards, Mike.
Gloucester coroner office accepted my justified reasons for wanting a postmortem.
I was assured that samples of vomit, blood, urine, faeces, and stomach contents would be taken and analysed but they failed to do that.
They refuse to disclose why.
The post-mortem was 'basic' and certainly not investigative enough to determine what led to her dying suddenly like she did.
The coroner has recorded Lucy's untimely death as ‘natural’, although I have provided irrefutable evidence that it was categorically the opposite.
Even the registrar for deaths isn't happy to sign a death certificate and instructed me to go back to the coroner office, who refuse to discuss anything about the case with me.
Whilst there is an evidenced risk of conflict of interest with Gloucestershire NHS, the Coroner’s office had a duty to allow an 'out of county' postmortem - the coroner refused and would not provide a logical reason.
A family member has a right to request to be present at a postmortem but his was also refused with no logical reason.
They will not carry out a 2nd postmortem.
We strongly believe that Gloucester corners office have a conflict of interest or allegiance with the hospital.
So, after two weeks of searching through ten years of relevant medical documents and sending them off, I found a totally independent Forensic Pathologist with no links to Gloucestershire NHS.
They have agreed to conduct an unimpeachable and fully invasive postmortem investigation that will leave no stone unturned to find precise and conclusive reasons for what actually led up to Lucy's death. There was a chain of delayed, withheld and refusal of treatment for Lucy’s medical conditions.
I'm a member of National Association of Care and Support Workers. I'm not accustomed to asking for help, as my role on a daily basis is supporting others who experience neglect and abuse within the health and social care system.
I never thought for one moment that role would be reversed.
I fully appreciate that many struggle financially, so if you’re not able to donate - please, please, would you at least share to your social media for me to give more chance of support?
If you wish to see and hear our justified reasons for needing a 2nd postmortem, click on this link (which is predominantly used to support and raise awareness for others):
Very kind regards,
Mike.
