Help Lucci Walk Again
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Paige, and I’m reaching out on behalf of our beloved French Bulldog, Lucci.
Lucci is a vibrant, playful 5½-year-old from Perth who brings so much joy and love into our lives. He’s always bouncing around, full of energy, and obsessed with cuddles and playtime with his big brother.
But on Thursday, July 17th, everything changed.
That morning, Lucci was his usual happy self. But when we came home from work, we were met with something devastating—Lucci could no longer use his back legs. They were completely limp and dragging behind him, while he struggled to move forward with only his front paws.
We rushed him to WAVES Emergency Veterinary Hospital, where the vets suspect a serious spinal condition called IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). The only way to confirm this—and give Lucci a chance at recovery—is through an urgent MRI, which has been quoted between $4,000–$6,000. If surgery is needed, the total cost could reach up to $12,000.
Right now, we’re desperately hoping it’s a less serious injury and that he may have just hurt himself during the day—but without the MRI, we won’t know. Unfortunately, there were no MRI slots available over the weekend, and we are racing against time to get him scanned first thing Monday morning.
We’re asking for help to raise the funds as quickly as possible so Lucci can get the care he needs and hopefully walk again. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference for Lucci’s future. Even sharing this with friends and family can help more than you know.
Thank you for reading and supporting Lucci through this heartbreaking and urgent time.
With love and gratitude,
