Hello SJC Community!
With permission of the family, I am reaching out to you today on behalf of Lourdes and her 3 beautiful Great Grandkids. Lourdes is a kind and caring person who has full custody of all 3 kids.
On July 14th, 2023, the 31000 block of Calle La Purisima in Capistrano Villas, a fire broke out in the adjacent unit from where Lourdes and the kids were sleeping. Fortunately, there were no injuries or loss of life during the fire; however, residents of all 4 units in that complex were displaced.
The projected time for the units to be rebuilt and cleared of smoke damage is 1 year! Unfortunately, the family has exhausted their resources and needs our help! I would like to ask that we all rally around them and be there in their time of need.
The kids are Zeus (M-8) Renee (M-5) and Julia (F-3). We all know how much the price for housing has gone up and it becomes even more challenging for families that are on fixed incomes. Any amount of money will make a difference for this wonderful family and is greatly appreciated. Let’s help this wonderful family stay housed and fed!

Con el permiso de la familia, hoy me comunico con ustedes en nombre de Lourdes y sus 3 hermosos bisnietos. Lourdes es una persona amable y afectuosa que tiene la custodia total de los 3 niños.
El 14 de julio de 2023, en la cuadra 31000 de Calle La Purísima de Capistrano Villas, se produjo un incendio en la unidad contigua donde dormían Lourdes y los niños. Afortunadamente, no hubo heridos ni pérdidas de vidas durante el incendio; sin embargo, los residentes de las 4 unidades de ese complejo fueron desplazados.
¡El tiempo proyectado para que las unidades sean reconstruidas y limpiadas de los daños causados por el humo es de 1 año! Desafortunadamente, la familia ha agotado sus recursos y necesita nuestra ayuda. Me gustaría pedirles que todos nos unamos a ellos y estemos ahí en su momento de necesidad.
Los niños son Zeus (M-8), Renee (M-5) y Julia (F-3). Todos sabemos cuánto ha subido el precio de la vivienda y se vuelve aún más difícil para las familias con ingresos fijos. Cualquier cantidad de dinero hará una diferencia para esta maravillosa familia y es muy apreciada. ¡Hay que asegurar que esta maravillosa familia se permanezca alojada y alimentada!
