Hi, my name is Bonnie Resnick and Louise Goldenberg is one of my oldest and dearest friends. I am asking for help and support on behalf of this amazing woman. Anyone who knows Louise will tell you she is one of the most loving, gentle, and compassionate people you will ever meet. She has always been there for anyone who was hurting with an open heart, prayer, and a hand to hold. Louise also has always had the greatest laugh and sense of humor! Spending time with Louise includes laughing so hard you cry as well as receiving a huge hug and a wave of love. She really is a special person and soul that you rarely find in this world.

Louise is a single mother who raised a beautiful daughter who is currently attending college, working part-time, and trying to support her mother as well. Louise 's struggle with cancer began in July of 2022 when cancer was found on her abdominal wall. A month later, she was rushed to the hospital by her daughter with severe abdominal pain and had emergency surgery due to a bowel obstruction. The surgery went well, and she started chemo on a special trial. The chemo worked for a while, and we were so relieved to see our Weezie (Louise) looking good and coming back to her old self. However, a few months later, in February of 2023, she was again rushed to the hospital and had emergency surgery due to her intestines coiling around a piece of scar tissue. During this surgery, she lost 3 ft of her intestines, went into cardiac arrest, and needed to be resuscitated. She fought her way back after a month in the hospital, and we were hopeful. Then, in July 2023, the cancer returned. Since then, she has tried 2 more types of chemo and an antibody drug. Tragically, the cancer has continued to progress. Louise is so weak at this time that the doctors and Louise herself don't know if she could tolerate another try at a different chemo treatment. She is making a deeply heartfelt felt decision to consider in home hospice.

I and those that love Louise and her daughter are asking for assistance to help pay her bills at this time. She needs help in paying her rent, daily expenses and oil for heat as the cold weather approaches. I am also asking for additional funds to help Louise's amazing daughter who has been through so much and will also need help with her living expenses and completing college.
