UPDATE Please help Louie with his vet bill.

***UPDATE*** I’m very sorry to say that I lost my Louie yesterday. As most of you know that Louie was hit by a car around 5pm on Saturday. Louie suffered many injuries. He had a strangulated bowl and a hernia as well as a broken pelvis. Louie had to have 2 surgeries. We went through with it because he was in critical condition. We wanted him home with fast recovery because i figured he was so young and such a strong boy,  deep down inside I knew he would make it.. He survived the surgery but then went into cardiac arrest right after surgery was done. They did CPR three times on him and every time he had a heart beat but he was not breathing.. They called me with bad news and told me but asked me if I would like for them to try one more time doing CPR and i said please try. I know he is a strong boy. I pleaded with them and they said okay. The 4th time doing CPR he had a heartbeat and then he started to breathe but then arrested again. In that moment...I knew I lost him forever. My heart sank into my stomach. A feeling I have never had before. I have experienced a true heartbreak. The surgeon said he did great during surgery and that he had so many injuries that his little heart just couldn't take it anymore. This has been really hard for me to cope with..He was such a great dog and he was my best friend. The pain is unbearable for me. I feel as if i will never make it through this pain. He was loved so much and he was such a happy dog..he was a loving dog...I will miss him so much..I always called him "my handsome boy" Ive always said when having a pet and your so close to them with a bond, that there will be heartache on the way when they become older and they are ready to go. I honestly didn't think it would be so soon for my Louie.. He was turning 3 yrs old next month. I want to say more but my heart can not take it. Louie thanks all of you and he fought through it all. He was my strong boy and I loved him!  I know we did everything we could for him. I will never forget you Louie. We had a bond that no one could break. Many dog owners view their canine companions as much more than an animal — to them, they’re members of the family. Losing my best friend is heartbreaking and has left behind a profound sense of emptiness and loss. Not everyone will understand the gravity of the loss, especially if they’ve never had a dog of their own. People who are not dog lovers don’t understand what the big deal is. If someone has never experienced this kind of relationship like mine and Louie's then they genuinely don’t know how important he was to me and how much I loved him and he loved me.

You followed me everywhere, in the house even to the restroom. I'll miss everything about you. You'll always be my handsome boy.

Original Post

My name is Analis and I wanted to start a go fund me for Louie. He was hit by a car today and the person who hit him took off and did not stop to see if he was okay. My son was cutting the grass while I was at work and Louie got out the gate along with my other beagle and chased a squirrel. When they got out, my female dog was grabbed and when Louie ran back across the street to the house is when he got hit. He fumbled underneath the car and the person driving did not stop or even check to see if he was injured. The driver kept going. When I heard the news I immediately left from work and came straight to his veterinary provider and they took a xray and it revealed he has a broken pelvis. I immediately hugged Louie and told him I was so sorry that this has happened to him and I couldn't stop crying and apologizing to him. He means everything to me. I have 3 views of his x-rays. I am too a veterinary technician and the clinic I work at does not perform major surgeries as this one. Louie is currently at DVSC in Grapevine Texas. I recently moved into a new home so all my funds are low now. We wanted to give our fur babies a bigger yard to run and play in. We have had sadness and misfortune since moving here. If I had the extra money I would no doubt pay for this surgery. Please if anyone can help us pay for Louie's surgery, our prayers will be answered. Anything helps. If your not able to donate. Please please please share this link.  I love my dogs so much and want nothing but the best for them. He is so loving and my heart is shattered to pieces. He is family to us and we would be so devastated if we lost him. I don't want to put him to sleep. My heart is not ready. He is going to be 3 years old on July 30th. Anyone can email me or call me and get xray pictures to prove or even call with my permission to DVSC to check on Louie.

Whatever can help is a blessing to Louie.

Thank you.

Anything helps.
