My name is Laura and myself and my husband Karl are privileged to have had DeeDee in our lives for the last 10 years. After noticing a decrease in appetite and a swollen tummy we took her to the vets 2 days ago, this has been very traumatic for her and had to be sedated in order to treat, it may be cancer and at this stage we are unsure and know that we are not ready to say goodbye. She is the sweetest cat so full of character and she loves nothing more than cuddles and sitting with the sun on her face. I hate to ask for help, we had an insurance policy throughout her whole life and I decided to switch providers last month. When getting a new policy you cannot claim within the first 14 days, we were 3 days away but knew she needed to be seen straight away. We are struggling and trying to do all we can to make her comfortable and give her the best chance. The vets didn't want to give her a chance because she is not the perfect patient and I can't have them give up on her because she can be a little sassy when she is frightened. She is so loved and we aren't ready to say goodbye. We don't have any children and she is the first cat we have owned together and truly our baby, if there is anyway you can help contribute we would be forever grateful. We have currently spent £3000 on blood tests, x rays , scans, hospital stays and sedation all on credit cards, she is incredibly anemic and they want to offer a blood transfusion which is costly along with more sedation but I would sell my soul to help her. I am so embarrassed to ask for help and I'm hoping that I've done enough good deeds in my life to be able to help my world.
We thank you for from the bottom of our hearts ❤️
