Please help Linda “Nana” Stevens

Many of you know my dear mom as Nana. She has been a bright spot in the many lives she has touched over the past 50 years in the Durham area. On September 1st, she moved into an affordable one bedroom apartment in a beautiful, clean, and safe 55+ community in the Brier Creek area. She now lives 8 minutes from me and everything she needs, groceries, pharmacy, and doctors are all 5 minutes away. She put her house of 50 years on the market listed “As Is” on September 4th, but after two weeks it had to be withdrawn. All of the feedback suggested the need for the house to be completely empty and some structural repair in order for it so sell. It is taking much longer to empty the house than we ever expected and it will be mid to late February at this point before the house will be ready to go back on the market. My mom is covering two sets of bills much longer than she anticipated. If you can help her cover her bills for a few months that would take a tremendous amount of stress off of her. She does not know I have done this. She has given her time and resources to so many different groups and friends over the years because she just loves people. In her new community she has started a singing group where she plays the piano and they all meet and sing together once a week. Help me support her in this new positive place while we wait and work for her house to be sold.
