Hello, Friends and Family!
PLEASE READ AND HELP IF YOU CAN.
This year for Christmas I have adopted two Operation Santa letters from 2 young children whom are brother and sister (a 6 year old boy and 5 year old girl). When I read the letter from the little girl's Mom, it absolutely gutted me and I wanted to do anything possible to help her daughter, Lily. Lily is 5 years old and was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Cortical Dysplasia. Lily also suffers from Epilepsy, Microcephaly and White Matter Disease. She is currently non-verbal and learning how to walk. I can only imagine what this little girl has endured and I would love to make some Christmas wishes come true with YOUR help! All Lily has asked Santa for this year is a Rifton Adaptive Tricycle in pink which will allow her to go outside with her brother so that she can play with her friends and just be a kid. I have no doubt that this piece of medical equipment will be an absolute game changer for this little girl!
For privacy purposes, I can not include a photo of Lily, but I have included a photo of the bike that she needs. The total cost of this bike is over $3,000 and if I do not reach that goal, I will send Lily a gift card from Rifton with the amount that I do raise. Please know that a donation of any amount will be very much appreciated as it will get me one step closer to my goal.
I am more than happy to share the letter with whomever asks as it is quite touching. Reading this letter was a huge reminder on how lucky so many of us are. I know we as humans sometimes take things for granted in our lives and one of those things is our health. Operation Santa's deadline to send out gifts is December 18th in order for them to arrive by Christmas Day to families. However, January 14th will be the FINAL day that they will accept packages for this project. Please pay it forward and share!
PS: You can also contact me directly in order to make a donation and avoid any CC fees :)
Merry Christmas!
Jen
