Please help Liam get the help he needs.

I am starting a gfm for my sister Chrissy. For those of you who know her, you know that she is not one to ask for help. She is usually the one fundraising for others in need. However, my 17 year old nephew Liam, has debilitating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I often hear people say, “I’m so OCD about having things in order” or something like that. True OCD is life altering and debilitating. Liam has been battling Contamination OCD for 3 years now. He cannot touch things without a barrier, such as gloves or napkins, he washes his hands at least 30 times a day. His OCD causes extreme social anxiety as well. He can only go to school for a few hours at a time, if he can even get out of the car at school. He can no longer go into stores for fear of contamination. He has been in therapy for a year now and his treatment team has recommended he go to the McLean Hospital’s OCDI jr in patient residential program for 2-3 months. There are no residential facilities that specialize in OCD in New York where they live. McLean is located in Belmont, Massachusetts. As his primary caretaker and support, Chrissy will have to bring him to McLean for his admission on September 27, 2022 and travel back and forth over the next few months to see him. I am asking for help with travel expenses for the numerous trips she will need to make.
