Please Help Lee Buy A Defibrillator
In 2016 I suffered a catastrophic spinal injury whilst playing for my rugby team Silhillians RUFC. This has left me paralysed from the chest down.
Whilst laying on the pitch awaiting the emergency medical team some of my teammates went to look for the clubs defibrillator as my heart was acting erratically.
Unfortunately it proved difficult to find as it wasn’t located in an obvious, highly visible place wasting precious minutes where something awful could have happened. Fortunately for me there were some absolute angels watching that day who were experts in the care I needed and saved my life.
Since that day it has always worried me that if anything terrible happened again would the volunteers at my club know what to do and where to find the equipment?
I would like to raise the funds to provide our club with an outdoor defibrillator, appropriate highly visible signage and online training for our coaches and volunteers so we are fully prepared if the worst should happen.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
