The Wentzel sisters! An unstoppable bond! So unstoppable that sadly soon, God will be joining them together again. This past month has been a roller coaster for Candace. She hasn't felt good at all. The first signs of her being sick were swelling in her legs. Her boyfriend, Phil, brought her to the ER and she had a short hospital stay and we all thought it was just her not eating right. Shortly after, my husband BJ and I had to bring her back to the hospital where she was admitted. Her blood work was terrible and she was turning yellow and becoming more swollen. Candace spent 9 days in the hospital and was so excited to come home! She came home last Tuesday. On, Wednesday we couldn't get her to eat, take her meds or even get out of bed. Phil, BJ and I decided to call 911. Candace went back to the hospital by ambulance and was released again. The next day my daughter, Gracie and I woke up to banging. Candace has lived with us for 4 years and her bedroom was between mine and my daughters. Candace didn't know who I was and was up against the door so I couldn't get in. My daughter called 911 last Thursday, May 20, 2021. The ambulance brought her back to the hospital. Since then she has rapidly declined. She is now in liver and kidney failure at the young age of 49 years young. Candace has a heart of gold and is a true friend to many. She has struggled with losing both of her parents and her sister at a young age. Unfortunately, she is at a stage where hospice seems to be her only option. This is devastating news to all of us. I've had the pleasure of being friends with Candace and her sister Barb for over over 10 years. I've been lucky to call her my friend, my sister and get to see her daily as her bedroom is right next to mine. Candace has been there for me through losing my own Mom, multiple friends of ours and a shoulder to lean on when life felt impossible to get through. My heart is broken that God is going to take her from me. There is a small group of us who see Candace daily... Her boyfriend Phil, her other best friend Patty and her soon to be husband Kevin, my kids Ryan and Gracie, my Paw Tom and my husband BJ and myself. Along with all of us her 2 friends that she grew up with, Mandy and Suzy have been there as well since this whole horrible situation started less than a month ago. We are doing this page in hopes to help with medical bills, be able to have Candace come home to her home with us and be surrounded by loved ones and to make sure that she has a service that she deserves as she leaves us. Candace expressed to many of us that she wants to be cremated. We are hoping that we can raise enough money to have a service with beautiful flowers as beautiful as she is, have her cremated and put into a beautiful urn. We would also like to plant a memorial tree or perhaps a park bench with her and Barbs name on it and celebrate her short life on earth. Candace, we know your body is tired and you can't promise to be here for the rest of our lives but we can promise you that we'll love you and miss you the rest of ours! Please share and donate if you can but above all PLEASE PRAY THAT GOD GIVES CANDACE PEACE AS SHE'S IN PAIN AND THAT WHEN SHE DOES LEAVE US THAT THE FIRST PERSON SHE SEES IS HER SISTER BARB, WHO SHE'S NEVER GOTTEN OVER! THANK YOU ALL FOR ANY GESTURE THAT YOU CAN DO! IT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED BY US AS HER FRIENDS, HER FAMILY BUT MOSTLY I KNOW THAT EVEN THOUGH CANDACE NO LONGER REALLY KNOWS WHAT'S GOING ON THAT SHE APPRECIATES IT! WE LOVE YOU CANDACE/CANDY/CANDILICIOUS! YOU WILL LIVE ON FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS!
