Hi my name is Holly and I am raising funds for Lawrence & Hue Nguyen who lost their home to a house fire.

At 7p.m. on September 14, 2025, a devastating tragedy struck Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen, in Everett , WA

A horrific fire destroyed their home, belongings and left Mr. Nguyen fighting for his life. He’s currently at Harborview hospital’s ICU in Seattle .

Our hearts are broken to share the passing of Lawrence who left us on 9/19. We are devastated but are grateful for the love he brought into the world.

Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen were not only victims of a house fire, but also victims of being taken advantage of.

As a kind and trusting elderly couple with catholic beliefs they were vulnerable to trusting in strangers.

Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen were bound to the upstairs of their home, due to age and health.

They had allowed a homeless individual to move into their home and to use the vacant downstairs of the home.

I believe Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen thought they were doing what the Bible had taught them, to give to your fellow less fortunate man.

Having an unused downstairs, they allowed this homeless individual to move in.

Right now all we know is that the fire was started in a barricaded room that the individual stayed in. Investigators suspected he may of been under the influence as paraphernalia was found in & around the downstairs. The individual was not alive when firefighters got inside the room.

Unfortunately the Nguyen’s did not have homeowners insurance and their only current income is through social security.

To take some stress off Mrs. Nguyen after losing her husband and home,

I am asking for donations to help funeral cost , rebuild their home, current living cost ( while not being able to return home) .
