Please help Lavender, 9, beat brain cancer.

Donation protected
Hello. This is Lavender. Lavender is a happy, silly, fun, bright, talented and spirited 9-year-old. A few weeks ago her family received the devastating news that she has a very aggressive malignant brain tumor known as high-grade glioma. Lavender recently had surgery to remove the tumor but her road to recovery is just beginning. Next week she begins intensive radiation treatments and is hoping to start some clinical trials and alternative medical treatments that can help her beat this cancer long term.

Lavender loves to play basketball and piano, as well as dancing and joining in the occasional karaoke party with friends and family. She excels at school and has aspirations to be a pediatrician someday. Anyone that knows Lavender will tell you she is wise beyond her years and that truly shines through when it comes to her love of giving to others. Lavender loves making care packages and delivering them to the homeless in her community. She also enjoys making handmade cards to let people know they are special and appreciated. I believe Lavender’s kind heart and fighting spirit comes from her mother, Lisa, who has not only been my most loyal and dedicated colleague for 17 years but also my dearest friend. Lisa has been my assistant director at Academy of Little Learners in York Maine for 15 years. Anyone who has had a child in Lisa’s classroom can tell you she gives her whole heart to every child and her positive impact in the lives of these children is immeasurable. She has worked so hard helping other young children during their earliest, most important years and now she needs our help to provide her own child with the support and resources necessary to fight this heartbreaking disease. Please consider donating to help this special family. The money will help alleviate some of the enormous cost of treating this disease including daily trips to Boston and the extremely expensive cost of medical treatments, therapies and medications.

We are truly grateful for not only your consideration to donate, but also your thoughts and prayers.

From all of us who know and love Lavender and her incredible family… Thank you!
