I have started this GoFundMe page for my beautiful friend Kylie in hopes of raising the much needed funds to cover the costs of her medical bills and surgery in the coming months.

Kylie is a solo Mum of three who was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and needs to have a hysterectomy as soon as possible. Unfortunately the wait list publicly is over two years so in order to afford the surgery sooner she needs to get it done privately but is unable to afford the cost.

 

A description Kylie sent me recently explaining her diagnosis.

What endometriosis is- A painful chronic menstrual health disorder that occurs when the tissue similar to the lining of the uterus, called the endometrium, grows outside the uterus. 

 

I have stage 4 endometriosis .

I have a large cyst on my ovary causing constant excessive bleeding. Medication has helped control the bleeding but it isn’t consistent and can suddenly stop working at any time. I have flare ups causing extreme debilitating pain in lower back . I can’t roll over in bed or stand during flare ups. Endometriosis can cause an imbalance of hormones which I have tried to regulate by taking different pills. It causes so many different issues - headaches and fatigue are constant.  It has impacted my life so much that I can’t attempt normal every day things without feeling exhausted.

I can’t even attempt to do any exercise. Working is becoming very difficult-I constantly need to be near the toilets and then rest for the day after. Being a solo Mum and feeling so deflated is impacting on my family.

The only way to feel better is to have a hysterectomy.
