Please help Kristi after a vicious mauling by 5 pit bulls

My beautiful daughter needs your help. She was in her own yard behind a locked gate when 4 pit bulls jumped the fence and attacked her without warning or provocation. These were neighborhood dogs she was familiar with and had even given pats and hugs to in the past. As she tried to retreat back to her front door, they viciously attacked and sunk their teeth into her legs, trying to take her to the ground. She fought hard to keep standing, but they eventually dragged her down. As they continued their attack, she tried to curl into a ball to protect her face and vitals. Several of them then started in on her back and arms while one commenced ripping into the top of her head, almost tearing her scalp completely off.

The screams got the attention of one of the neighbors, and the lady tried to stop the attack, putting herself in harm's way to block the attack but was unsuccessful. A man came out with a gun and managed to stop the attack, killing 2 of the animals in the process. 

My daughter received bites and tears over the majority of her body, severing through muscle and ligaments all the way to the bone in several areas. They had to shave her head completely to try and piece together what was left of her head and scalp and install a tube to drain fluid buildup. She has been released from the trauma center, but she is in so much excruciating pain it's almost unbearable at times. She tries to sleep but wakes up SCREAMING due to reliving the incident when trying to get some rest. When she wakes up crying, she tells me she called for me while the dogs were tearing her apart.

When we first talked on the phone while crying, she says to me, "Daddy, they tore me up. They tore me up really bad," and when I first got here, through the tears she said, "THEY TRIED TO EAT ME ALIVE!"

• My poor little baby girl. This will be a very long, hard recovery, and we will most definitely need the love and support of all those around us to get through this. She will not be able to get around for quite a while, so working is out of the question. We will be looking into getting a full-time nurse or assistant to help her and her family until she can get back on her feet. She may never recover from the mental scars this incident will leave on her. I doubt that she will ever be the same kind, gentle soul that tried so hard to be kind and rescued so many animals herself.
