Help save Kora's life! Massive tumor needs surgery

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amanda, and usually, I am the one asking for donations for one of my medical fosters, however, I am here to ask for help with my own dog, Kora. For those who know me, you know how hard it is for me to ask for help for myself or family.

Kora has had on-and-off bladder infections for the past year. Each time the prescription gets stronger and more expensive. During her visit in June 2023, during a guided ultrasound-guided urine sample collection, the Vet saw a mass in her bladder.

We just left the vets office today and the tumor was seen on the second FAST scan, shows that it almost takes up her entire bladder.

Her bills total $2467.23 so far, but, she needs to have a CADET braf urine test ($490) as well as a sedated ultrasound ($799) to determine where is it attached and if it can be removed (surgery cost unknown at this time).

The Doctor said this could add years to her life if we get to this quickly.

I have maxed out our credit card with the previous visits and now I am overwhelmed and freaking out.

I volunteer with a rescue and usually have medical and special needs dogs, so I understand the difficult times we are in and how everyone is hurting for money. Generally, I do not ask for any help (unless it's for a foster), but this is Kora, who is incredibly special to this family.

Kora arrived at our house, a few weeks before my mother-in-law suffered a stroke and passed away. Kora was found at a flea market in a cardboard box that said, "World's Ugliest Dog". She was saved by a friend of mine who then asked if I could help Kora find a forever home. Kora was supposed to be a foster. However, when my youngest was crying inconsolably over the news of his Grandmother's passing, we found Kora, curled up around his head and licking his face to calm him down.

We knew then that Kora was something special and has been inseparable from my youngest ever since.

Please, please consider donating any amount so we can continue the testing and surgery for Kora. Any amount you're willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated!! If you aren't able to contribute money at this time (I get it times are incredibly tough now), a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us!

If you prefer to donate directly to the vet's office, our vet's office is:

Totalbond at Forestbrook
3200 Union Rd,
Gastonia, NC 28056

I included the phone number, but GoFundMe, unfortunately, made me remove it. They can be found by a quick internet search.

I know people may say, "it's just a dog" but they are wrong. She is family and my son's best friend.

Please and thank you!
