hi I’m koda's human mum Kristy.

I am writing this with a heavy heart and I’m trying my best to be positive and strong anyone who knows me knows how much Koda means to me so please be kind .

Koda also has 4 human siblings who love and adore him just as much as I do. he comes almost every where with us and is always being complimented on how beautiful his personality is. He loves adventures, walks , beach visits, car rides and going for random sleep overs to nan and pop’s house along with his human siblings.

last week on the 11th of March at 10:30am my Koda suddenly lost mobility in his back legs, we immediately we rushed him to the vets were Koda was diagnosed with stage 4 IVDD.

I was told Koda needed immediate spinal surgery which would cost me $12,000

which I could not go ahead with as it was just way out of my budget unfortunately, my poor little man can still feel deep pain which the vets said is a good sign but he has no control over his back legs. Koda is on pain medication and anti inflammatory’s twice a day while on strict 6-8 weeks crate rest. I have spoken with multiple specialists and done a lot of research and my vet has told me to find someone that specialises in dog acupuncture. Now I’ve found afew specialties across qld that will do acupuncture on Koda but I still can’t afford the weekly expenses of his acupuncture visits which will cost between $250-$300 per session ontop of his pain relief and anti inflammatorys.

Koda needs multiple sessions so I’m asking for any kind of help big or small anything at all to help me get my little man back on his feet it’s so sad seeing him like this his normally such a happy boy.
