My sweet 2-year-old cat, Kimchi, suddenly became very sick, and our world turned upside down overnight.

She is a young, strictly indoor kitty who has always been playful, loving, and full of life. Just recently, she stopped eating, began acting unlike herself, and showed signs that something was seriously wrong. We rushed her to the vet, where blood tests revealed that she is suffering from acute kidney injury, a life-threatening condition that requires immediate treatment and hospitalization to give her the best chance at recovery.

The veterinarians believe that with intensive fluids and medical care, her kidneys may be able to recover, but the treatment is extremely expensive, and the costs are more than our family can manage alone.

She is only two years old and has so much life ahead of her. She has been a source of comfort, joy, and unconditional love every single day, and we are doing everything we can to give her a fighting chance.
