Please Help Kim with Fighting Cancer!

Donation protected
My brother Kim is fighting for his life.  On November 2nd, 2021, Kim had his first colonoscopy. He had been experiencing intestinal pain since May. Largely due to the pandemic, he was not able to get the appropriate medical help in a timely way.  Afterwards he was told by his gastroenterologist, as he was coming out of the anesthesia, that he had a large stage 3 aggressive cancerous tumor in the lower part of his colon. Not something any one of us would want to hear about for ourselves or anyone we love. After a whirlwind of bloodwork and tests his doctors determined he needed surgery to remove the cancer and surrounding tissue to see what was involved. During this surgery they found the largest of the tumors had grown into his bladder and had to be removed along with some of his bladder. They also found he had 2 more small cancerous tumors outside the colon that were also removed. He was told after the operation that the cancer was present in one of the lymph nodes they had tested. Post-surgery he needed an ileostomy to let the colon heal. After a 10 day stay in the hospital he came home with a bag. Everything he knew about life was turned upside down.
Kim was told that because of the cancer found outside of the colon they need to be aggressive and prescribed 6 months of chemotherapy to try to stop any stray cancer cells from attempting to attack his organs. He will have to keep the ileostomy in place for the 6 months of cancer treatments. Necessary treatment involves multiple trips across the ferry per week as well as the obvious inability to continue working at his job at Lowes in Plattsburgh. All of his sick time and vacation time have now been depleted. Temporary disability has been applied for but will take months to start and instead of concentrating on getting well, he is worrying about rent, heat, keeping his car and not being a burden to those around him. Please help if you can. The $2000.00 (hopefully more!) will go directly to Kim to pay his rent and incidentals involved with going back and forth from the Medical Center in Burlington. Thank You for caring enough to read this and if you are in a position to donate please do. Even small amounts add up! Help a brother out!
