Please help Kim Pero in her hour of need!

Help! A week ago today, my friend and former Police Chief / boss Kim Everhart Pero was tragically hit by a drunk driver. She was riding her motorcycle at about 3pm, and a repeat DUI offender blew through a red light and hit her, crushing her left leg and launching her through the air. She never saw him coming. The offender was arrested at the scene.

Kim served over 25 years total in law enforcement, and is several years shy of being able to retire. She has been self-employed in a new small business - house cleaning- for the last year that sadly will not be able to continue since her left leg had to be amputated from above the left knee. Kim and her husband Tony's life will never be the same. They have no funds for the medical deductibles and loss of income, and likely legal action will take years to settle.
