Please Help Kibo ♥️

Hi, my name is Tiffany and this is my dog Kibo. I saved Kibo when he was just 7 weeks old and he is now turning 7 years old this year. He is truly the light in my eyes and I cannot imagine a world without him so soon. Everyone that has ever met kibo has also fallen in love with him and cares for him just as much as I do. He is the silliest cuddliest big baby that wants nothing more but to cuddle you to death and steal your food.

On Friday July 26 kibo puked for the first time in the evening all the kibbles he had for breakfast. Then he continued to vomit liquids throughout the night/morning. I had tried to feed him his normal food but he wouldn’t eat it, but he was able to eat all his favourite treats. I waited another day and he still wouldn’t eat and this time not even the treats. No puking at all for Sunday but I am now concerned and decided to take him in to the Vet Monday. I have brought him in everyday until Wednesday evening finally our vet has suggested we take him to ER. Our vet has done everything they could but ultimately we still don’t have any answer as to why he still wouldn’t eat. Everyone that’s knows kibo, knows he is extremely food motivated. He went from begging for food everyday to not even wanting to smell it. He’s been hospitalized during the day since Monday everyday and is on anti nausea injections, IV and antibiotics. They have taken stool and urine sample, multiple blood tests, his lymph nodes were extremely inflamed which they also had those tested. He was also tested for parasites which came back negative. Currently the next steps would be to take him to ER and get an ultrasound done to check on his liver and kidneys. The main concern is that he hasn’t eaten anything since Saturday (5days) and I just feel so defeated as his owner that I can’t help make him feel better and it breaks my heart seeing him like this. Our vet has also given him medication for Gastroenteritis which his body didn’t take. They had originally thought this could’ve been the issue, but again still not eating which means we are back to square one.

As we all know, vet bills can get extremely expensive and I want to try and do everything I can to help kibo feel like kibo again, I am reaching out for everyone’s support to help me make that happen. We have spent 7 beautiful years together and I want to continue to give him as many years as I possibly can. A little goes a long way and we will be eternally grateful for everyone’s love and support.
