Hello, my name is Khaled, and I am a 21-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. I write to you today with a heavy heart, but still filled with hope. My family and I are facing great difficulties, and I have always believed that with every hardship comes a new opportunity, but life in Gaza makes these opportunities difficult to achieve.

I have experienced five Israeli military attacks in my life, the last of which, on October 7, 2023, was the most violent and brutal. On October 13, our house was completely destroyed. We not only lost a place we called home, but also our beautiful memories, the moments of joy we shared together as a family. We have lived hundreds of moments of fear and anxiety, and have even been forced to flee five times. My family and I, including young children, have only known life in tents.

We now live in a tent in the Tal al-Sultan area of ​​Rafah. Life in the tent is harsh, and the conditions are unbearable, especially for the children who find it difficult to cope with all of this. We don't have the luxury of a functioning bathroom, and even food is difficult to prepare, as we have to light a fire every day to prepare our meals. In the summer, the tent turns into a sauna, and we cannot escape the intense heat and difficult living conditions. We live every day in fear, not knowing what tomorrow holds.

I was a student at the Islamic University of Gaza, studying information technology, and dreamed of becoming a professional programmer. I was looking forward to my graduation day, to the opportunity to build a better life. But everything was destroyed in an instant. Today, due to the ongoing threats of a ground invasion, I have decided to leave Gaza and complete my studies in Turkey, where I have been accepted into a university. But to achieve this dream, I face significant obstacles.

I need your help to be able to leave Gaza and continue my studies. I also ask you to help my family leave Gaza.

Any assistance you can provide would be invaluable, not just for me, but for the children living in these difficult conditions. We are searching for hope in a place where only fear reigns, and your presence by our side means so much to us.
