Help Kez Access Life-Extending Treatment for Ovarian Cancer.

In April 2025, our family received the devastating news that my sister, Kez, had been diagnosed with stage 3C high-grade ovarian cancer. Sadly, this cancer is incurable.

Since her diagnosis, Kez has faced every challenge with incredible bravery and determination. Over the past year, she has undergone major life-changing surgery, chemotherapy, and ongoing maintenance treatment. Along the way, she has endured numerous complications including infections, blood transfusions, wound complications following surgery, and the debilitating side effects that come with cancer treatment.

Despite everything she has faced, Kez has remained positive, hopeful, and determined to keep living life to the fullest. She has even shared her journey openly on TikTok to help support and encourage others going through similar experiences. Her strength and courage continue to inspire everyone around her.

Anyone who knows Kez knows what a kind, caring, and selfless person she is. She has always been there for others, often putting everyone else before herself.

Recently, we received the heartbreaking news that there are still small deposits of cancer remaining on her spleen and peritoneum. Kez is currently receiving a maintenance treatment called Avastin every three weeks, and her oncologist has told us that this treatment is helping to keep the cancer under control.

Unfortunately, NHS funding for Avastin is limited to 18 cycles, and Kez is now approaching the end of this treatment. Her oncologist has explained that research shows further chemotherapy combined with privately funded Avastin could improve outcomes and potentially give her more precious time — time to continue making memories with the people she loves and to keep doing the things that mean so much to her.

The reality that access to this treatment is limited due to cost is incredibly difficult for our family to accept. The financial burden of funding this treatment privately is overwhelming, and this is why we are reaching out for help.

We are hoping to raise funds so Kez can continue accessing Avastin treatment privately for a further year, equating to 18 additional cycles. We have been informed by The Christie Hospital that each cycle currently costs £4,629 every three weeks, bringing the total cost to approximately £83,000.
