Please Help Keep The Smoker On At Vegan Chop House

Hi everyone, it's Andrew from Vegan Chop House! If you've been following me on Facebook and Instagram, you know I (finally) activated Vegan Chop House this summer! YES! I've since been slowly but surely acquiring necessary equipment for my meat alternatives, and working on scaling up my recipes for sale.

I'm almost there! At the time of writing this, I still have to be inspected by the LA County Health Department, and pick up a few more pieces of equipment. And while I know that if you're reading this, you will probably support me once VCH is on the market.

So why am I doing a GoFundMe? Good question! I asked myself that, because requesting help is not my strong suit lol. The problem is, I'm running out of money for rent, ingredients, equipment, and operating capital ($$$). I cashed out my 401k from Trader Joe's, as you may know, and used it to get Vegan Chop House started. I have very much committed myself to this, and I was willing to stake all the money I have to accomplish this.

And I have definite plans how to accomplish what I want, but I just don't have enough in the 401k to cover it all, even with me carefully selecting used equipment and saving money by getting a wholesaler to take a chance on such a new company.

What do I need with $15,000? What will I do with it? Do I think you're made of money?! Well, I need to pay rent, and have one month of rent left in the bank. So that's first. With this GoFundMe, I could have few months of rent paid so I can focus on marketing and building VCH's name and thus increasing sales.

Then, I want to buy equipment for sales in various farmer's markets, grocery stores, and vegan food festivals. Vegan Street Fair is a big one, and I really really want to show off my products at one of the biggest plant-based festivals there is. The buy-in for that alone is $2000. But participating in these events will help get VCH's name out there and my products in more people's tummies. Ok that sounded weird, but you know what I mean.

Also, I have to ready my operation for order fulfillment, local and internet sales, and have my foods evaluated and labelled, as well as packaging equipment that is up to code. In addition, I would like to have operating capital to be ready for any unexpected expenses, like anything I need to fix or upgrade to stay in compliance with various government agencies. The government, amirite?
