Please Help Keep my Fur-Babies and I In Our Home

Hello!! For those who don't know me, my name is Antonai and I have worked at District Veterinary Hospital-Brookland since Nov 2020. I am here today, in my most desperate hour, needing your help to keep my fur-babies: Waffles, Donut, and Sprinkles and I, in our home. I have been dealing with on/off illness and health issues for the last few months. Fortunately, I am actively in the process of working up these issues to finally be healthy again. I have been diagnosed with a heart murmur and familial AFib, pending possible heart surgery for a stent placement. Along with a recent diagnosis of IBS-D, which often keeps me at home for multiple hours at a time during shifts. This has affected my attendance at work, therefore affecting my income as a whole.

It had gotten to a point where I was behind on every bill, including my rent. With the raise I received, I was able to get most of my bills in order and paid my overdue rent down by half. However, I still owe 5k in back rent (previously 11k), which I am going to court for this week 5/6. I will be asking for a possible 30-60 day extension to get the rest of the money I need in. However, if not approved, I will have 30 days to get what I need paid to the management company/building. If not paid, I will unfortunately be evicted with no place to go.

I have tried loans, but I'm currently building my credit, actively have a loan out on my 401k (which helped pay some of everything down), and my family is unable to help me. I have applied for a second job but no luck with any of those applications yet. My goal is to raise at least 5k to cover what I owe for rent. Update 5/19/25: I have received half of this amount for financial aide, looking to raise the remaining $1800 for the other half.
