Hi, (Due to safety I cannot share my name), but I’m reaching out with a very heavy heart. I never imagined being in this position again, but right now my kids and I urgently need help to keep a roof over our heads and stay together as a family.

Our landlord has told us they need to move back into their home, which means we have to move out as soon as possible. Since hearing this, I’ve been doing everything I can - calling, applying, emailing, reaching out to every support agency I can find - but so far, we’ve had no luck. I’ve been in a constant state of fear again.

Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with a muscle degenerative disease that has changed everything about how I live. I rely on my older sons for help with shopping, cooking, and getting their little brothers to and from school. We’ve just started finding our rhythm again after leaving a domestic violence situation two years ago - rebuilding our lives piece by piece, creating a sense of safety and peace for the kids.

Now, it feels like that stability is slipping away. Everywhere I’ve turned for help, I’ve been told we may need to separate as a family or move out of our area - far from the community, schools, and supports that have become our lifeline. But after everything we’ve already endured, being torn apart or uprooted again would be devastating. My boys have already carried more than most adults should ever have to.

I’ve worked so hard to give them a sense of normalcy. Since DV , I’ve began part-time work (14 hours a week) with an organisation that helps women rebuild financial independence. It’s been a lifeline! Something that’s helped me feel hopeful about our future. But right now, between my health, ongoing NDIS paperwork, doctor appointments, and the emotional toll of all this uncertainty, I feel like everything we’ve built is hanging by a thread.

We just need a bit of help to get through this moment. The funds raised will go toward our bond, holding deposit, and end-of-lease cleaning and carpet cleaning costs, as I physically can’t manage it all myself.

I’ve fought so hard for my boys, for our peace, our safety, our healing - and I can’t let that slip away now. This is my family Any support, no matter how small, will help us stay together and move into a safe, stable home where we can keep rebuilding our lives.
