- My name is Thando and I am a newly granted refugee in the UK, diagnosed with bipolar II disorder. I am a survivor of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and I’ve had to make heartbreaking decisions to keep my daughters — still in Botswana — safe from the same
risk.
To protect them, I placed them in a secure boarding school, but it costs £800 per month. I’m currently struggling with mental health and my doctor has
advised me to stop working. I’m receiving minimal support from Universal Credit (£400), and I can no longer cover their fees alone.
I’m reaching out for help to cover 4 months of boarding/school fees (£3,200 total) while I continue treatment, secure safe housing, and stabilize my health.
Every donation, no matter how small, goes directly to protecting two innocent girls from a harmful practice. I can’t post photos due to safety and privacy, but your support means the world to us.any change will be saved for their flights coming to uk.Thank you
