Please help with Kayla’s medical expenses

Kayla was diagnosed with Cervical cancer Feb 3, 2021.
In July 2020, she had an abnormal Pap smear and was told to come back in January to have another one done. She trusted her Doctor but has since been told by respected sources that those results should’ve been treated immediately and not have waited. By January of 2021, she already had a tumor growing on her cervix. A Biopsy was done and the results showed cancer. A PET Scan was then done and the results showed one lymph node was involved. She will have to endure Chemotherapy and daily Radiation treatments for 6.5 weeks. As a result of this treatment, Kayla will never be able to carry a child of her own. The possibility of having her “own” child still exist with the help of a surrogate, however her eggs must be harvested before she starts any type of treatments.
Because of how the chemo and daily radiation regimen are expected to affect Kayla, she has been told she will only be able to work half days, if that! Kayla is single and owns a salon. This is her only source of income. She will not have health insurance until March 1 but even that insurance doesn’t cover her Specialist Copays until $8550 is met out of pocket. She will have to see 2 specialist weekly and those visits are $314 and $357 weekly. Name brand prescriptions are not covered either. Unfortunately, most cancer medications are name brands. The fertility expert and the process to harvest eggs will be in the Thousands. Doctors consults and second opinions are expensive as well. There are no “free estimates” in the medical field.
Kayla is strong and very determined to fight the battle ahead of her. As her friends and family want to do what they can to ease the stress of this financial burden, this is why the fund has been set up.
