Kasia was involved in a terrible accident on Wednesday August 31st, in which she was not at fault. She was traveling westbound in Tampa and someone made a left turn into her car at a high rate of speed. She was unconscious when they pulled her from the car, and rushed her to Tampa General Hospital Trauma Unit where she was very close to losing her life. After stabilizing her, she was placed into the Trauma ICU. She has sustained serious fractures to her eye socket, orbit, cheekbone, jaw and nose. Additionally, her fingers, wrists and face has lacerations which required stitching. Her eyelid was stitched along the lash line as well and much more. She spent two days vomiting up blood from the wounds in her mouth. She requires continual care. She may lose her eye if she gets too stressed because it causes the eye to swell further and can delay further healing. Her iris, cornea and lens are damaged. She will need to see an eye specialist for the rest of her life and there is a chance she may never see out of her left eye again. Kasia will require several surgeries for the face and eye fractures, cosmetic work and possibly more. Please, we implore you, to give what you can to defray the costs of the exorbitant costs of her care. She will be unable to drive nor care for herself for some time, let alone work. Much is unknown until at least the eye surgery is performed. Unfortunately, she does not have medical insurance. Please find it in your heart to help her be restored mentally and physically through the loving generosity of your donations. Our family thanks you kindly.
