My step dad, Howard Dale Woods, passed away very unexpectedly on April 28, 2024 at 59 years young. He was my mom’s (Karen) husband but also caregiver and supporter for the family. Dale and Karen started a local lawn care business and also their own local cab business that Dale maintained to earn a living. Karen is medically disabled with blood clotting that spreads to her lungs, which has stopped her from breathing and required multiple surgeries. She is now required to use an oxygen tank and makes daily activities from driving to just breathing, very difficult. Dale and Karen also took in my nephew when both of his guardians passed away. Dale was the glue of this family to keep everything and everyone going and surviving. Life was hard but it was good and now that he’s gone, I have taken it upon myself to start this Go Fund Me to help my mother financially. I live 7 hours away so any donation will be greatly appreciated until we can figure out what to do with housing, transportation, medical bills, and just mourning the loss of her husband and best friend.

Dale was a devoted Dad to his daughter, Katie. He was a son, brother, uncle, husband, father and grandfather who is greatly loved and so badly missed.
