Please Help Kacee Settles and Her Girls

Our sister, Kacee Settles, has determinedly been working toward her goal of becoming a diagnostic medical sonographer (aka ultrasound technician) since 2018 and she is SO CLOSE to the finish line. She will graduate in July, complete board exams and licensing by end of September and be ready to re-enter the workforce in October 2021. Unfortunately, an abrupt and unexpected change in her family circumstances has left Kacee and her two young daughters without any financial support. She is suddenly shouldering the full weight of mortgage, insurance, utilities and all other household and family expenses.
The final months of a medical education are intensive with both classroom coursework and clinicals – if she is to meet school demands and be the sole caregiver for her daughters, Kacee is not able to take on a job right now. If she interrupts her education to return to work, she will time out of her medical program and lose her school funding and the years she has put into her degree attainment – essentially, she’ll have to start her education over.
Kacee is close to achieving her degree, which will allow her to obtain employment that will provide financial security for her girls and herself. We don’t want her to have to walk away when the goal is nearly in hand and are asking for help in getting this skilled, hard-working mother through this incredibly difficult time. Kacee is diligently seeking ways to improve her financial situation independently but is humbly asking for help from family, friends and those who are able, so she can provide for the immediate and basic needs of her family during this unanticipated change in circumstances. Her inherited expenses are high and this is a start of what she will need in the coming months.
