# Support Justin, Rachel, and Baby Bjorn Through This Difficult Time

Our family’s world was turned upside down on March 1 when my brother, Justin, was rushed into the ICU and placed on life support. After days of uncertainty, countless tests, and an unimaginable fight, he is proving just how strong and stubborn we all know him to be.

Justin was admitted to the hospital on February 27 after experiencing severe health complications. Despite numerous scans and blood transfusions, doctors struggled to find the cause of his dangerously low hemoglobin levels. After further testing, they discovered lesions throughout his GI tract, which were causing an internal bleed. Thankfully, they were able to stop the bleeding, but further testing revealed that Justin has cirrhosis of the liver, which has taken a serious toll on his body.

After six days on life support, on March 7, Justin was taken off, and since then, he has been fighting hard to regain his strength. While we are incredibly grateful for his progress, his road to recovery is going to be long and challenging.

Justin owns his own business, which means he has been unable to work, and his incredible partner, Rachel, is currently on maternity leave with their beautiful baby boy, Bjorn. With the uncertainty of how long Justin will need to recover, we want to make sure that finances are the least of their worries. Rent, bills, groceries, and day-to-day expenses shouldn't add stress to an already overwhelming situation.
