Please Help Juni's Dad in His Recovery

Donation protected

This is a picture of Brant and his daughter Juni Anderson on August 11, 2021. The next day Brant was being life-flighted from Newberg, OR to a medical center in Portland with no one sure he would survive the flight to Portland.

Brant was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder that had gone undetected. It triggered pancreatitis which triggered Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS). In a matter of hours he deteriorated rapidly. By the end of the day he was on a ventilator and in a helicopter.

He was transferred to Providence Portland Medical Center. Because of his critical condition he had to receive plasmapheresis and dialysis treatment for his blood disorder. His kidneys shut down and there was a large fluid collection in his abdomen.

He began to come back slowly and was transferred out of the ICU. The fluid collection in his abdomen turned into a serious infection. He was quickly transferred back to the ICU and reintubated.

The collected families are doing all they can to support Brant, Catey, and Juni, but the three of them still need help. The cost of Life Flight is not covered by insurance, which is $40,000, and Brant will probably be out of work for a year while he recovers, so they are going to need all the help we can provide them. Anything and everything will help. Thank you so much.
