Please Help Judith Castro of Cabo Pulmo

Hi everyone, my name is Shelley Wiseman and I am a friend of Judith Castro, who is well known as a lovely, talented, and responsible person in Cabo Pulmo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. She recently had an unfortunate car accident in La Paz with a man driving a Tesla, who is from a prominent family in La Paz. While she was technically at fault since he had the right of way, she did stop at the stop sign before moving forward and judging that she had time to cross the street before he would arrive, but he was speeding and they crashed. The judge found her at fault and ordered her to pay a judgment of $8,000 USD to the man. To add to her problems, she was driving a car borrowed from a friend, whose insurance, unbeknownst by Judith, had recently lapsed, so she owes her friend about another $8,000 in damages. Fortunately, Judith has a kind friend who was able to front her the money to pay for these things. Still, it is Judy's responsibility to pay the money back. I live in New Jersey and was down visiting Judith at her new wonderful job at Serenity Baja, an amazing place to stay, just after the accident took place. Judith has many other kind friends who might be able to help her pay the $16,000 back, and I am calling on them to contribute as they can to this GoFundMe.

The money will go directly to a US bank account of the kind friend who lent her the money in Los Angeles, so it does not have to go through Mexico.
