Help Josh and family on this journey to walk again!!

Hello to all of you, my dear friends and family! As I'm certain pretty much all of you know by now what a struggle it has been on this journey for me to get back on my feet (literally), and get my life back. What started at a loud pop and no pain at first in September of 2017 turned into a living hell up to this point. I had serious hip joint degeneration that I had no clue about. The doctors told me that between playing sports in my youth, being active outdoors, and a bit of age that I would need extensive physical therapy. Well that was in the beginning and that was what they thought...at first. To make a long story short I went through every type of physical therapy you can think of. In the gym, in the pool, electrical stimulus, joint injection, etc. While doing all of this I was made to jump through every type of hoop and red tape you could imagine and then some! Between all of that and constantly fighting with insurance companies I would be lying if I said this road had been anything other than horrific! However on top of the love of our father above, my one saving grace was and has been my beautiful wife Nikki. I had to stop work in back in August of 2018 and thankfully I was able to get on disability due to the over abundance of evidence and physician reports. Although I was so thankful for disability, the monthly payment is VERY small compared to what I brought in working. That said my wife Nikki has single handedly kept our family from becoming homeless and provided enough to keep this ship afloat. I have done every thing that the insurance companies, and doctors have required me to do to and FINALLY qualified and got the green light for total replacement of both hips. I have even lost over 100lbs! That is not easy to do by the way when you are forced to spend 95% of your time in a horizontal position on the bed. Due to the severity of degradation in both hip joints they are going to have to replace my hips one at a time starting with my right hip. Surgery for hip number one is scheduled for July 23rd and assuming my recovery and physical therapy go well they'll schedule the second surgery at the end of September or beginning of October. Either way 2025 will be the LAST year I'm going to spend in excruciating pain with zero quality of life! That is where this Go Fund Me comes in to play. My wife is going to have to take some leave from her job to help me with practically everything after my surgery so this is really going to put us in a tough spot financially. She has applied for the FMLA here in Colorado but they only pay 80% of her wages in a 40 hour work week. While we should be able to pay rent, utilities, and other household bills we aren't really going to be able to afford food, fuel, and other day to day essentials. We are in a bad spot, we have too much income to qualify for any kind of government assistance (food stamps, HUD, or LEAP) but we don't make enough to afford fuel, hotel, and food during and after these surgeries. We are humbly requesting that if any of you can possibly help financially with even a small amount, we would be so very thankful! This journey has not been easy and has taken YEARS longer than it should have due to red tape and insurance issues but that's another story all together.
