Johny! The Gift of Life!

Upon receiving the news that Johny is unlikely to live, we were all devastated. Before deciding to let Johny go, New England Organ Bank asked the family if we wished to help more lives by donating Johny’s healthy organs. We consulted with his parents who felt compelled to help and let Johny touch more lives with his life! On Sunday, Johny will be going to the operating room and harvesting of his vital organs will take place. As a family, we are all taken by a strong emotion knowing that this young man will continue to pulsate life into the world! Please help us make an honorable service for this honorable man and his family!

Queridos Amigos e familiares, temos uma atualização triste sobre a situação de Johny. O exame de ressonância magnética mostrou danos extensos ao cérebro e as funções restantes são incompatíveis com a vida. Como família, estamos sofrendo muito.

Esta manhã, a família terá que tomar a difícil decisão de retirar o suporte de vida. Pedimos que continuem orando por Johny e que ajudem a família a enfrentar este momento tão doloroso.

Sabemos que Deus está com Johny e com todos nós, nos dando força e conforto para passar por essa situação tão difícil. Vamos nos apoiar uns nos outros e orar juntos.

Dear friends and family,

We have a sad update on Johny's condition. The MRI showed extensive brain damage, and the remaining functions are incompatible with life. As a family, we are suffering a lot.

This morning, the family will have to make the difficult decision to remove life support. We ask that you continue to pray for Johny and help the family through this painful time.

We know that God is with Johny and with all of us, giving us strength and comfort to get through this difficult situation. Let's support each other and pray together

We are writing to you today with heavy hearts to share the news of our beloved Johny Fertonani's recent health emergency. This past Sunday 05/07/2023, Johny suffered a cardiopulmonary arrest that left him in critical condition. He was brought to Lowell General Hospital, where he is currently on a ventilator for breathing. Unfortunately, Johny has not been responding to verbal or painful stimuli, and a CT scan has revealed signs of anoxia.

As you can imagine, this has been a devastating time for our family. We remain vigilant with prayers and support from our church and friends, but we also need your help. If Johny survives, he will require extensive medical care, which will undoubtedly come with a significant financial burden.

Johny is a loving uncle to his beautiful nieces and nephew, and he has two older brothers. His parents are alive, but they live in Brazil and cannot come to see him due to travel restrictions. We are doing everything we can to support Johny and his family during this difficult time, but we cannot do it alone.

We are humbly asking for your assistance in raising funds for Johny's medical care. Every little bit helps, and we appreciate any donation you can make. Please keep Johny and our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this challenging situation.

No domingo passado, Johny sofreu uma parada cardiorrespiratória que o deixou em estado crítico. Ele foi levado ao Lowell General Hospital, onde atualmente está em um ventilador para respirar. Infelizmente, Johny não tem respondido a estímulos verbais ou dolorosos, e uma tomografia computadorizada revelou sinais de anóxia.
