Please Help Johnno

Hi, my name is Patricia Moore, I am fundraising for my husband Johnno.

Johnno is currently in the last stages of his kidney desease and has a complicated leg and blood infection. These two things have made his kidneys and diabetes go out of control. Johnno has been put on dialysis since Tuesday night and today is his second surgery in less than 48 hrs.

The medication that has been given to him and the blood infection , due to the low kidney function is making him very sick, delusional and not able to get off the bed. Today is the fifth day without eating anything. He doesn’t know when is morning or night or where he is at.

Johnno is a strong man but God has put him to his greatest test in life so far. This is the time when he needs all the help he can get from his loved ones, emotionally and economically.

Johnno won’t be released from hospital until the leg infection is cleared and his blood gets under control.

He will need intensive dialysis sessions in hospital and for the foreseeable future until he finds a compatible kidney donor. This means 3 to 4 times per week in hospital, transportation, parking plus a special bed and recliner to be able to accommodate his needs. This is on top of dealing with the natural complications of being a dialysis patient.

We are currently leaving off only one wage and there’s only so much that we can do. Surprisingly, he was told at Centrelink that someone like him is not entitled to any government help. I am not sure how bad you need to be for Centrelink to give you some help. Needless to say he has been a taxpayer for the last 20 years…

I appreciate if you could help Johnno this time to deal with all his illness and complications he is experiencing. This is taking a toll on him and his family and he is doing the best he can.

Please know that Johnno is a warrior.

This is hard yet not the end.

He is going to come thru good.
