Please help John Winkelman

Hi everyone! I am doing this go fund me on behalf of my father George Winkelman in regards to my Uncle John. John Frank Winkelman was born in 1955. He has five adult children and 13 grandchildren along with a great granddaughter. He also has other siblings, nieces and nephews and has lost 4 sisters while incarcerated. John was convicted of a drug conspiracy and one non violent fire arm offense in 2001. His original sentence was life without parole, plus five years for the fire arm offense. In 2019, Johns sentence was reduced to 30 years. John has recently filed for release under the Federal Elderly Pilot Program which releases elderly non-violent inmates to home confinement who have served two thirds of their sentence. The motion that Jon filed under the Federal Elderly Pilot Program was denied unfortunately because they claim his fire arm conviction was considered violent, but possession of a fire arm in furtherance of a drug crime is not violent. John needs everyone’s help to obtain an attorney who can clarify this issue for him. Without the Federal Elderly Pilot Program he will have to serve another six years in prison. Please everyone we are begging you to help bring this man home to his family. His children and grandchildren need him!! Give him the opportunity for hope again and to be reunited with his loved ones.
