Help John Get a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant
Håfa Adai, my name is John Blas. I’m 59 years old and humbly reaching out for your support as I begin a life-changing journey toward receiving a kidney transplant.
On April 16, 2022, I began dialysis due to end-stage kidney disease. Over the past few years, I’ve endured serious health challenges—multiple hospitalizations and time in the ICU. I’ve also witnessed the heartbreaking loss of fellow dialysis patients who never got the chance at better care. Their stories, and my own fight for survival, have given me the determination to seek a second chance at life.
Because kidney transplants are not available in Guam, I’ve made the difficult decision to relocate to the U.S. mainland in hopes of receiving better treatment, access to transplant services, and long-term recovery support. I'm still physically able to make this move, and I’m doing so with faith and hope.
The road ahead will be long and challenging. It includes:
• Extensive medical evaluations
• Strict medication regimens (over 20 pills a day)
• A lengthy recovery period after surgery
• Significant costs for travel, temporary housing, medications, and daily living expenses during recovery
My goal is to raise $ 15,000 to help cover these critical expenses.
Any amount—big or small—would mean the world to me. Your support gives me a real chance to live a healthier, fuller life and to spend more precious time with my loved ones, especially my grandchildren.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
With deep gratitude,
