Hi, my name is Johanna (Joey), and I'm a trans woman and spiritual counselor, podcaster, and writer who works hard to make the lives of others better.

I also happen to be trans and live in a world that rejects trans women outright. Since my divorce in 2021, I have moved seven times. I have been homeless. I have lost my job. I have applied to 42 jobs and cannot get a phone screen or interview. I currently have $40 to my name.

I have recently had a slew of medical issues due to being assaulted by a man in April of this year.

My ex left me with nothing. I'm not living paycheck to paycheck because there is no paycheck. I cannot afford groceries, rent, medical bills, or student loans.
