Joanne's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Our sister, Joanne Price (Welker), was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on December 20th. Joanne is a single mom to three amazing kids. Two of them are in college and the third one is in kindergarten. As many of you know she is a beautiful, energetic, sweet, woman who always has fun, takes care of her family and works harder than anyone we know. As many of you don’t know Joanne works three jobs. Her day job, as a medical biller (40hrs), second job as a caretaker five nights a week, taking care of a paraplegic, and his daughter who has cerebral palsy and her third job as a real estate agent on the weekends. This diagnosis is going to make it impossible to keep all three jobs. Her day job is flexible and they will allow her to take off anytime she needs for her surgeries and chemo therapy appointments. She will, however, not get paid for her time away from work. As for her other jobs she will be taking a leave from both until she is healthy again. This is going to cause a financial burden being that she has a single income household.  With the severity of her diagnosis, Joanne needs to start her treatment right away to stop the cancer from growing and spreading any further. The treatment is very expensive. Joanne's cancer is treatable, however, medical bills are piling up quick, and many healthcare providers require upfront payments. She has high deductibles and quite a bit of out of pocket expenses. As hard as this news has been for her and her family, Joanne has remained positive. Like many people in this situation, her insurance will not cover all the costs. That is the reason we are asking friends and family to donate what they can to help her pay for the treatments. 100% of the donations will go towards the treatments that her insurance doesn't cover and cost of living expenses (Doctor appointments, tests, chemotherapy, medicines, surgery, hospital fees, among others) Please help support this amazing, STRONG woman as she battles cancer.
