Please help Jim Phillipoff get back on his feet

DONATIONS PAUSED; WILL KEEP YOU POSTED! I am one of many people on Gabriola who knows and appreciates Jim Phillipoff. He has done many things in his life, but his current passion is to help people control or eradicate Himalayan blackberry on their properties. He does so by pulling a bicycle trailer to properties and working with hand tools to avoid noise and fossil fuels. Although fitness is important to him, a key reason for cycling is a long-term health issue that prevents driving. Of course this work doesn't come with employee-type benefits.

Jim has had many obstacles and losses in recent years. Very recently he has been sick enough to be in hospital for several days after trying to kick an infection at home. His electric bike is broken, making uphill treks with the trailer brutal. He has had to stop work for some time when he needs the income.

I hope this fundraiser will help Jim get back on his feet so he can phase back into time with clients, family, aquaponics and his other contributions to Gabriola. Even a small donation will be greatly appreciated.
