Please help Jim pay his medical bills

Hi, my name is Peter Cook, and I'm helping raise funds for my friend Jim to pay his medical bills...

Now, after helping others his entire life, Jim needs our help. He suffered a stroke in 2019, which forced him to retire. In August of 2021, Jim was diagnosed with serious skin cancer - Squamous Cell carcinoma in his right cheek - further complicating his health challenges and his ability to provide for himself and his family. Those who know Jim know he is always optimistic and sharing smiles with others, but this current challenge is his toughest challenge yet. We're establishing this GoFundMe to help Jim with his expenses during this tough time and just generally giving back to him for all that he has given his whole life.

Jim Lynskey has always been a giver. He has always taken time to help others in his church, in his volunteer activities, and in his community. His dedication to others is grounded in his faith. When Jim’s Daughter was five years old, his family took a trip to Utah and visited the St. George Temple. Not long after, Jim and his family became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, more commonly known simply as Latter-Day Saints. Jim's faith has been a foundation for him throughout his life and has informed all of his volunteer work, most significantly his decades of volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, where he has served as a Scoutmaster and mentored countless young men along the way.
