PLEASE HELP JESSICA FIGHT BRAIN TUMOR
Donation protected
Jessica, my stepmom, a wife, and a mother of two was diagnosed last year with a brain tumor called “Glioma”. She had been complaining that she was having headaches for some time and my dad took her to see a doctor which confirmed that she had a tumor and needed to have surgery right away.
She had the surgery and part of the tumor was removed and she was on chemotherapy and radiation after the surgery. They live in Costa Rica and the healthcare over there is not very good and the treatments were horrible. The patients do not receive the proper care or communication. The doctors do not care about their patients at all it is just a job to them, not a person’s life!

A couple of weeks after she had the surgery she seemed to be feeling a little better, she was able to walk with assistance and started to eat a little, and was home, then out of nowhere the doctors increased the dosage of one of her medications and that made all of her progress go downhill. The medication had caused her head to swell and she started to lose a lot of weight and my dad had to take her back to the hospital. Not only was she getting very sick because of the doctor’s error but then while at the hospital she got Covid-19.
My dad had to take her back home because they could not do much more to help her at the hospital and she is in very bad condition. My dad is a 72-year-old man and their two children are still minors. He is having to take care of her while she still has Covid which he is at high risk for contracting and take care of the children and having to work to be able to provide for the family all by himself because they have no family in Costa Rica we are here in the United States.
In the blink of an eye, your whole life flips upside down. I am devastated and it is very difficult to write these words.
We are working with Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL to have her transferred there since she still has an active visa that way, she has a fighting chance to live and fight for her life.
We are asking anyone willing to help to please donate to help cover medical costs including having her flown here internationally as soon as possible because of the critical state that she is in. Anything helps.
Thank you
